Hugh Alexander “Bassie” Jacks, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his residence. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Avondale. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Napoleon and Hattie White and Ames and Annie Lue Jacks. Survivors include his father, Hugh (JoAnn) Jacks; mother, Maggie Jacks; sisters, Theresa (Michael) Hines, Masheryl (William) Stegall, and Shunoa (Rodriquez) Bell; brother, Dexter Thompson; stepbrothers, Jonathan Brown and Donivan Brown; dedicated caregiver, Robert C. Stamper; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; relatives and friends.
