Howard Bridgman's Obituary
Howard Bridgman, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born January 21, 1936, to Alex and Mamie (Green) Bridgman. Howard was extremely proud to serve as a paratrooper in the United States Army from 1952 – 1956. He was known to be a jack of all trades and was quick to share his skills to help anyone, and all who he could aid with his talents. Howard was a skilled outdoorsman and would teach his siblings the art and science of living off the land; he loved to fish, ski, cook, and he dearly loved his jazz music. Howard was self-employed with his trucking company and traveled the country making many friends along the way. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Mamie (Green) Battle; brother, Melvin Battle; sister, Dottie J Battle, brother, James L Battle. Those left to cherish his memories are wife, Violet Bridgman; sisters, Earlene Battle, Shirley (George) Pickett, and Jeanette (Robert) Tipton; brothers, Charles Battle and Terry (Betty) Battle, and a host of nieces; nephews and his cherished friends at Silvertree Senior Apartments.
