Hester Ann Moore's Obituary
Hester Ann Moore, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her residence. She was retired from the Chattanooga City Schools as a teacher assistant. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board and Usher Board. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Jake” Moore, Sr.; father, Columbus Blair; mother, Izora Dobbins; stepson, Charles Moore, Jr.; grandson, Charles “Tucka” Moore; stepdaughter, Aldee Clark; and sisters, Flora L. Foster and Mary Katherine “Cat” Scott; brothers-in-law, Solomon Foster and John Scott; and son-in-law, Joe Ragland. Survivors include her sons, Charles Columbus Moore, Michael Moore, and Fitzgerald Moore; stepsons, Albert Moore and Jerome Lindsey; daughters, Deborah Ragland, Audrey Williams, and Terry Moore; stepdaughters, Dorothy Cox, Hazella Moore, and Belinda West, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. The Moore family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to family and friends. Also, thanks to Alexian Brothers (PACE) of Chattanooga. Elder Grimes will be the eulogist.
