Henry Morris' Obituary
Henry “Tank” “Snook” Morris, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his son, Ottis Morris; daughters, Faith Morris and Anita Ellis; parents, Charlie and Emma Morris; brothers, George Morris and James Morris; and sister, Mary Morris. Survivors include his wife Erma Jean Morris; daughters, Tonja Morris Garth, Valerie Smartt, H. Denise Hawkins, and Marsha Woods, all of Chattanooga; 19 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; niece, Virginia Smith; nephews, Jeffrey Morris, David Smith, and Bruce Smith; cousin, Essie Wright; special friends, Bobby Rush and John Baker; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends. Henry will lie-in-state Monday, November 23, 2020 from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Family service will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 12 noon in the chapel with Minister John Boyer will serve as the eulogist.
