Havert Eugene Wester's Obituary
Havert Eugene Wester, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 in a local healthcare facility. He was born March 2, 1943 to the late Frank and Evelyn Bernice Wester. Havert was a 1962 graduate of Campbell High in Rockwood, Tennessee. From Rockwood, he went to New York after graduation where he was a resident for over 50 years. While residing in New York, Havert was employed at Queen Presbyterian Hospital and Manhattan Community College. He had a love for traveling, reading literature, and a passion for sports. He kept up with the news, cowboys, and loved to listen to rhythm and blues. Havert was affectionately known as "Uncle Butter". He was a remarkable man and left a lasting impression on those who loved him and knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Wester, Jr. and mother, Evelyn Bernice Wester; sister, Kay Yvonne Wester; daughter, Nicole M. Wester, and grandson, Maurice Wester. He leaves to mourn his loss, longtime companion, Beatrice F. Murray; daughter, Crystal Wester; son, Curtis Wester; stepchildren, Tonya R. Brown, Michelle C. Murray, and Anthony Brown; two brothers, Stanley (Cynthia) Wester and Charles E. Siler; sister, Jacqueline D. Robinson; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
