Harold Clinton Ferrell's Obituary
Harold Clinton Ferrell, Sr., 86, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in a Canton, Georgia local hospital. He was a graduate of Howard High School and attended Southern California University.
Harold served in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge at the end of his service time. He was employed by Bell Communication Research and retired after many years of service.
Among those who preceded Harold in death include his mother, Odell Harris Ferrell; father, Tom Ferrell; sisters, Alfreda Harris Marks, Jewell and Earl, Earline Harris Green, and Virginia Harris Mastin; and mother-in-law, Lear Gray.
Cherishing his memories include his wife of 30 years, Tara Ferrell; sons, Harold Ferrell, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN and Thomas Jay Spears of Waldorf, MD; daughters, Victoria Ross of Chattanooga, TN and Kristina Ferrell of Santa Barbara, CA; father-in-law, Bobby L. (Faye) McClarty of Chattanooga, TN; brothers-in-law, Hosea L. McClarty and Terrance L. McClarty, both of Chattanooga, TN; sisters-in-law, Nicole Parker of Belleville, IL and Summer McClarty of Chattanooga, TN; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Harold will lie-in-state on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with Judge John McClarty as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
