Guy Ledean Wilkerson's Obituary
Guy Ladean Wilkerson, Sr., 54, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 in a local hospital. He was a 1984 graduate of Howard High School. He was employed with Whirlpool as a supervisor. Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ella Wilkerson; father, Walter Freeman; grandmother, Hattie Freeman; uncle, Orlandus Metcalf; aunt, Dorothy Townsend; five brothers; one sister; and one nephew. Survivors include his fiancé, Dianna Sexton; son, Guy Wilkerson, Jr; daughters, Shanitka Bennett, and Linda Green; six grandchildren; stepmother, Juliette Benford, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Walter (Hilda) Lindsey of Chattanooga, Gregory (Gwen) Pitman of California, Norman Freeman, Ronnie Readus, Demetrius Tate, and Nathan (Rena) Benford, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Lois (Kenneth) Martin, Betty Freeman, Emma Benford, Sandra Benford, all of Chattanooga, and Sheila Whitlock of California; uncle, Donald Fuqua; aunts, Ruby Word and Norma Hughley; cousin, Mitchell “Boonie” Lewis, all of Chattanooga. There will be no family service.
