Gulson Elvé, born on August 13, 2003, at St. Lucie County Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His life was a testament to friendship, resilience, and a love for adventure. In June 2008, Gulson's family moved to Tennessee, where he attended Apison Elementary, Ooltewah Middle School, Ooltewah High School and graduated from Central High School. Gulson attended Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church and Collegedale Pella Haitian SDA Church in Collegedale TN. He was a part of the Broken Healer Ministries and Niqrats as well. Gulson was friendly, approachable, and honest. His genuine smile and calm demeanor put people at ease. Gulson could strike up a conversation with anyone. People of all ages noted his respect and kindness in conversation. Physical fitness was important to him, he worked hard for his physique and challenged others around him to increase their strength with weightlifting and calisthenics. He also loved sports, through friendly competitions like soccer and basketball, whatever team he was on would win. Driving was a joy for Gulson, and he attempted to learn how to drive from a very young age. Stories of adventure and laughter are cherished by his passengers, who experienced his feats behind the wheel. Furthermore, driving was a symbol of Gulson's reliability and helpful heart. With a spirit of service and compassion, he would transport friends and family in need and, without fail, would pick up the phone when called. If he missed a call, his return phone call accompanied an apology for missing your call. His helpful nature is the foundation of stories where he pushes people past their fears, drags them to appointments, and encourages them to better their lives. Gulson’s determination was unwavering, whether it was a challenging task or a playful competition. Post graduation, he struggled with deciding about the career path he could enjoy. Despite the ups and downs, he joined a trade program to become a licensed plumber, where he did well and began to put his skills to use at home. As we celebrate his life, may his memory inspire us to live boldly and love fiercely. Rest in peace, dear son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.
