Glenda (Gwendolyn) Denise Davis' Obituary
Glenda a/k/a Gwendolyn Denise Davis, “Gwen” and “Niecy”, 61, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, in a local hospital. She attended Howard High School and was a member of Jesus Crusade Pentecostal Church. Niecy spent most of her life caring for her family, and she would babysit other children. She was a very good cook and cared for everyone. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ernest Lee Davis, Sr.; son, Ernest Lee Davis, Jr.; parents, Mary Joseph and James Bonner; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. Survivors include 3 sons, Terry (April) Mathis, Ray Davis, both of Chattanooga, and Harry Davis of Pensacola, FL; 3 grandchildren; 4 brothers, all of Chattanooga; 1 sister of New Orleans, LA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; close friends, Ms. Joann, Joyce Hope, and other friends. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Evangelist Alice Toney giving words of comfort.
