Gerald T’Challa Edwards, Sr. “Gerry”, 69, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on October 2, 1951 to the late James and Lottie Edwards. He was a 1969 graduate of Riverside High School where he was a member of the Marching Band. Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Edwards and Milton Edwards; and sister, Mary Smith. Survivors include his devoted daughter and caregiver, Erica (Teneshia) LaFaye; son, Gerald Edwards, II; brothers, Charles (Joyce) Edwards and Ronald (Clara) Edwards; sister, Sherine (James) Bryant; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Family service will be Friday, April 2, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. Condolences may be sent Arlington Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
