Gene Berry Wilson's Obituary
Gene Berry Wilson, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at his residence. He was a 1982 graduate of Howard High School. He attended Olivet Baptist Church. Gene was a man of many trades his slogan was “You want it, I got it. You need it, I’ll get it.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Barbara Wilson, Jr.; grandparents, Matt and Bertha Wilson, Sr; niece, Diane Carithers; brothers, Michael Wilson and Welton Wilson. Survivors include his sons, Gene Davis of Winterville, GA, Skye Wilson of Chattanooga, and Matt Wilson of Athens, GA; daughters, Treva Davis of Kermit, TX, Sheba (Otis) Tarpkin, and Tawanna Wilson, both of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; brother, Tony Wilson of Winterville; sisters, Kathy Wilson of Madison, GA, Touring (Donald) Howard of Chattanooga, and Laura Skelton of Comer, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor J.W. Cole will serve as the eulogist.
