Freddie Mae Braswell was born on August 14, 1936, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Ruby Greene and Dan Curtis. She was a member of Chandler Baptist Church.
Freddie was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Braswell; daughter, Ruby Theresa Braswell; and granddaughter, Kristie Mitchell.
Freddie passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at a local healthcare facility. Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Ricky Braswell; daughters, Sharon Leslie and Vanessa Williams, all of Chattanooga; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Freddie will lie-in-state on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the Chapel with Pastor John Foster as the Eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
