Frank Common Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Common, Jr., 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in a local healthcare facility. He was formerly employed by Wheland Foundry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mamie Common; daughters, Alethea Common McCain and Sonya Common-Tucker; son, Frank Common; and wife, Minnie Common. Survivors include his daughter, Alfreda Common (Walter) Fletcher of Ooltewah, TN; son, David (Melissa) Lee of Chattanooga; 3 granddaughters, Jameka Tucker and Sharnice Common; 2 grandsons, Mario Common and Jermichael Campbell; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Ozie (Annie Pearl) Common, Joe Willie (Mary) Common, and Eardie Common; sister, Tommie “Geraldine” Common, all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Frank will lie-in-state on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon in Tyner Cemetery.
