Frances Love's Obituary
Frances Danell Love, 69, of Chattanooga, was called home to be with the Lord on May 17. She was a 1968 graduate of Riverside High School. She attended Tennessee State University and earned her Associate of Science degree from Chattanooga State Community College. She was formerly employed by the Chattanooga Housing Authority as a Property Manager for many years. Frances was an active member of Tucker Baptist Church for several years. She was thrilled to be a member of the Chattanooga Citizens Police Academy. She had a phenomenal way of showing her “love” to her family and friends. Frances enjoyed celebrating others and their accomplishments, birthdays and the holidays. She was known for sending cards and captured you with her memorable laugh. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob “Jake” and Louise Fortson; grandparents, Reverend John and Louise Buckner. She leaves to cherish her devoted son, Eric T. Cross of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Valerie (Patrick) Smiley, Markese Cross, both of Chattanooga, and Alina Cross of Louisville, KY; sister, Florence Nash; nephew, Jonathan Nash, both of Chattanooga; other relatives and friends. Pastor Gary Hathaway will serve as the eulogist.
