Florinda Cathaleen Calloway's Obituary
Florinda Cathaleen McKinley-Calloway, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, in a NHC Healthcare facility. She attended Howard High School. Florinda was a member of Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church where she was on the Senior Usher Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Calloway, Sr.; parents, Early, Sr. and Dearrie Cousin; brothers, Robert Cousin and Early Cousin, Jr.; sons, Roger McKinley and Harrison Calloway, Jr.; grandson, Eza Roberson IV; beloved cousin, Marilyn Hester; and sister, Rosie Lee Sims. Survivors include her sons, Richard McKinley of Chattanooga, Ronald (Denise) McKinley of Louisvile, KY, Steve (Jackie) McKinley, Byron (Wanda) McKinley, and Alfred (Johnetta) McKinley, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Patricia Roberson and Gwendolyn Sims, both of Chattanooga; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; brother, Reginal (Mae Bell) Cousin of Dewberry, GA; sisters, Doris McElrath, Norma Johnson, Virginia Jones, all of Chattanooga, and Leila (Henry) Lumpkin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; friends; and church family. Florinda will lie-in-sate on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 9 a.m. at Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Charles Moore as the eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
