Flavian Crawford's Obituary
Flavian LeMont Crawford, 53, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, in a local hospital. Flavian, also known as, “Cool Flav” was born in Rock Island, Illinois to Perry and Dorothy Hall Crawford. He attended Rock Island High School and also graduated from Davenport Barber and Styling College. He was a valued employee at Publix working in the produce department.
Flavian was proceeded in death by his father, Perry Crawford; his brother, Marcus Crawford; his grandparents, Harold and Pearlie Hall, and Luther and Cordia Crawford; and his aunts, Teonna Harris, Gwen Hall, and Francine Hall.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hall Crawford of Louisville, MS; step-mother, Cynthia Crawford of Chattanooga; his loving partner, Christina Pierce of Chattanooga; sons, Marquis Crawford of Davenport, IA, and Caleb Crawford of Rock Island; sisters, Fanieka Crawford, Fashira Crawford, and Fanobie Crawford, all of Rock Island, and Cecilla Crawford of Chattanooga; brother, Perry Crawford, Jr. of Chattanooga; special cousins, Lawrence Pernell, Cynthia Reed, and Ali Hall; 6 uncles; 2 aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Flavian was loved by his family and friends. He was a protector and provider who loved to joke, play, and laugh. He was a music lover and a diehard San Francisco 49ners fan.
There will not be a service. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
