Ms. Esther Gooden's Obituary
Esther R. Gooden, “Toot”, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, in a Hospice Care facility. She attended Howard High School. She was a member of E. Third Street Church of Christ. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Bernice Robinson; brother, Jimmy Robinson; children, Gay Brooks, Barnell Gooden, and Leonard Gooden. Survivors include her son, Varnell Gooden, Jr. of Detroit, MI; daughters, Linda Caudle of Chattanooga, Carolyn Appleberry of Detroit, MI, and Mary Roberts of Chattanooga; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Cameron, Barbara Hicks, and Mary Evans, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; dear friend, Eddie Eubanks and many other friends.
