Emma J. Hinton, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in a hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Emma Jean Hinton, 69, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in a Murfreesboro hospital. She was a graduate of Howard High School. She was a member of World’s Church of the Living God and Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, George Scott, Jr; brothers, Michael Hinton, John Hinton, and Jerry Hinton. Survivors include her son, Michael Scott; daughters, Pamela Anderson (Duval), Katherine Anderson, and Gwendolyn Anderson, all of Chattanooga; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, George (Evelyn) Hinton; sisters, Mary Stokes and Callie (Barry) Harrington; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. There will be no funeral service.
