Eloise Hargrove's Obituary
Eloise Bobo Hargrove, 88, of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her residence. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of New Pilgrim Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Eloise was a graduate of Miles College and the University of Connecticut. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education. She was an educator with the Jefferson County Board of Education for over 40 years. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Marie Jackson Bobo. Survivors include her sons, Julius (Sharlene) Hargrove of Ooltewah, TN, and Gary (Karen) Carter of Pleasant Grove, AL; daughter, Nyralon Bobo Ming of Fairfield, AL; daughter-in-law, Teena Hargrove; 7 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
She will lie-in-state Thursday, August 29, 2019 after 12:30 p.m. with visitation with the family to follow from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. She was lie-in-state on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. (CST) at New Pilgrim Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
The funeral will follow at 12 noon (CST) with Reverend Dr. James H. Brooks as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama.
