Ellis Bell Thornhill, IV's Obituary
Ellis Bell Thornhill, IV, 48, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee. He attended Brainerd High School and furthered his education at Chattanooga Technical College. Ellis was formerly employed by Schnellecke Logistics USA LLC as a fork lift driver. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Paul Thornhill; grandmother, Eddie Mae Malone; grandfather, Ellis Bell Thornhill, Sr; grandmother, Mary Thornhill; and brother, Jeremy “Jerry” Walton. Survivors include his daughters, Storm Thornhill and Zoey Thornhill, both of Chattanooga; grandchild, Winter Williams; mother, Annie Nell Carswell of Chattanooga; brother, Calvin Thornhill of Germantown, MD; sister-in-law, Karen Walton of Chattanooga; uncles, Willis M. Carswell, Sr. of Paterson, New Jersey and Alexander Malone Sr. of Decatur, GA; aunts, Carolyn C.(Billy) McIntosh of Atlanta, GA, Kapaniece S. Malone of Talladega, AL; and Angela L. Malone of Patterson, N.J.; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; special friend, James Woodruff and others.
Ellis will lie-in-state on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
