Eliza Jean Harris' Obituary
Eliza Jean Harris, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in a local hospital. She was a mighty woman of God and a trail blazer. She was formerly employed with the Chattanooga City Schools. Pastor Harris gave her life to Jesus Christ and lived a devoted life of teaching and preaching the ways of God. She was a member of the Early Church of God in Christ, and later went on to pastor St. James ECOGIC, until her health would not allow. Pastor Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Mary Orr. Survivors include her daughters, Vanessa Harris of Chattanooga, Shelia Harris of Knoxville, and Annette (Dan) Tolliver of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.
