Eleanor Irene Murphy's Obituary
Eleanor Irene Murphy, 98, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her residence. She was a member of New United Missionary Baptist Church and was an Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Murphy; loving daughter, Anita Curtis; parents, Roy and Alva Mobley; brother, Sherman Mobley; sisters, Bessie LaBrew, Louise Joyner, Dorothy Taylor, and Juanita Cunningham. Survivors include her sons, Franklin (Shavy) Murphy of Stone Mountain, GA and Allen Murphy of Nashville, TN; daughters, Sherma Svitzer of Wilmington, NC, Olivia Hale of Bronx, NY, and faithful daughter, Dorthy Murphy of South Pittsburg; ten grandchildren, devoted grandchildren, LaLonnie Horton, Randolph Svitzer, and Trinisha McRae; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Dr. Jeffrey T. Wilson will serve as the eulogist.
