Effie Marie Magee's Obituary
Effie Marie Magee, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the Hospice Care Center. She was a graduate of Howard High School. She retired from Erlanger Medical Center as a Registered Nurse after many years of service. Effie was co-owner of Papa Joe’s Restaurant on Wilcox Boulevard. Those who preceded her in death include her son, Anthony F. Griffin; sister, Eloise Barnes; and parents, James and Minnie Ruth McKibben. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Joseph Leon Magee; son, Dargin T. (Jennifer) McWhorter, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Kimberly R. Griffin of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Evangelist Crystal Powell is the eulogist.
