Edneva Ruth Putman's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Edneva Putman, affectionately known as “Nee.” She left us peacefully on Sunday, April 6th, at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Edneva was born on September 3, 1939, and had a radiant soul whose love touched everyone around her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Otis Putman Jr, parents, Nathanial Moore and Lettice Moore, and her dear sister, Annie Ruth Freeman. Edneva is survived by her loving daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Smith, and her cherished grandson, Taurus (Rhonda) Moore. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Reco Dickens, Jonquell Connors, Malik Dickens, and Savanna Moore, who brought her immense joy and laughter. She is survived by a host of relatives, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Edneva will lie-in-state on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
