Eddie Williams, Sr.'s Obituary
Eddie Williams, Sr., 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, in a local healthcare facility. Eddie, a beloved resident of Chattanooga, was born on January 20, 1948. He was a proud graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1966, and honorably served as an Army veteran in the Vietnam War. After dedicating over 40 years of his life to Wheland Foundry, Eddie retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Williams; mother, Sophronia Williams; wife, Norma Nash Williams; sister, Annette Beeman; and brothers, James Murphy, Theodore Williams, and Clyde Williams.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Bryan (Sandra) Williams of Knoxville, TN, Eddie (Monica) Williams of Moyock, NC, and Shawn (Stacey) Williams of Chattanooga; bonus sons, Kelcey (Stacye) Watson of Chattanooga, Pamela (Cedric) Evans of McDonough, GA, and Vincent (Angela) Nash of Chattanooga; and bonus daughters, Jennifer (James) Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Kimberly (Tommy) Favors of McDonough, GA; sister, Willena Smith; brother, Charles (Frances) Williams; along with 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Eddie’s memory will be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and close friends.
Eddie will lie-in-state on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Family will welcome guests at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
