Earnestine B. Parker's Obituary
Earnestine B. Parker, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Trafford, Alabama on June 29, 1940 to Joe Brown and Eppie Dovine. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended Tyner Congregation. Earnestine was faithful and diligent in her support of the Kingdom Hall for over 60 years. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, singing, and listening to Kingdom songs. She enjoyed early morning field service, tea parties, traveling to assemblies with her road-dog, and socializing with her Christian sisters. Even when she was sick, she called and checked on how other friends and family were doing. Earnestine, our sweet loving mother and friend, will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Parker, Sr.; son, Rickie Parker; grandson, Shonathan Parker; parents; and stepfather, Robert Smith. Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Parker and Angela Parker; sons, Terrance Parker, Jesse Parker, Jr., and Galen Parker; grandchildren, Lawayne Parker, Daniel Parker, Alonzo Blackwell, Galen Parker, Jr., Zaylen Parker, Zyrie Parker, Jesse Parker III, Jermaine Parker, Jessica Parker, Lawayne Parker, and Kei’Mariah Fletcher; sisters, Willie Mae Anthony, Evelyn Starks, Robbie Smith, Eva Laney, and Brenda Hardnett; great-grandchildren; half-brothers and half-sisters; in-laws; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be a private Memorial Zoom Service by invitation only with Brother Jim Wiley officiating.
