Dorris Mae Conner's Obituary
Dorris Mae Conner, “DJ”, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in a local hospital. She was a Compton Community College graduate. She was the former president of College Hills Court Residence Council. Dorris was the owner and operator of her Day Care Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Jackson; and grandson, Josiah Conner. Survivors include her sons, Asa Conner of Las Vegas, NV and Willie Conner, Jr. of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Eborah Conner and Regina Mansur, both of Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; father, Elbertjean Jackson of Wharton, TX; sisters, Thelma Lee Ray and Geneva Jackson, both of Wharton, TX; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Dorris will lie-in-state on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery.
