Dorothy Ann Marshall's Obituary
Dorothy A. Marshall, 80, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in a hospital in Decatur, Georgia. She was a 1964 graduate of Howard High School and received her B.S. degree from Indiana University. Dorothy served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Air Force Reserves after many years of service. She also retired from Bell South after many years of service.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Buster Moore and Addie Gilbert. Survivors include her daughter, Tye Marshall of Greenville, MS; two grandchildren, Mariah Marshall and Shawnee Marshall; cousins, Aletra Bolden, Rufus (Annie) Benning, Jr., and Diane Gilbert, all of Chattanooga; other relatives and friends.
Dorothy will lie-in-state on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister Larry High as the Eulogist.
