Donte King's Obituary
Donte Zemont King, 46, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in a Nashville, Tennessee hospital. He attended Brainerd High School. Donte was a member of New Destiny Christian Fellowship C.O.G.I.C. Church in Nashville. He was formerly employed by Gray’s Disposal Company. Donte was preceded in death by his father, Larry King, Sr. Survivors include his daughters, DáNyla King and Desiree King, both of Nashville, TN; loving mother, Eara King of Chattanooga; brothers, Larry King, Jr. and Dearies King, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Teara King (Robert) Evans and Nisa King, both of Chattanooga; uncles, Edward Johnson, Sr., Charlie Johnson, Sr., both of Chattanooga, and Elijah Johnson of Toledo, OH; aunt, Linda (Brad) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; fiancé, Tira Beal of Nashville; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Donte will lie-in-state on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10 a.m. at New Holy Temple Cathedral COGIC Church. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Paul Bonner officiating and Pastor Tony Bonner as the eulogist.
