Donnie Mae Mack, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in a local hospital. She was born May 30, 1945, to Mattie C. Smith and John R. Smith, Sr. Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mack; parents, John and Mattie Smith, Sr.; brothers, John R. Smith, Jr., Larry Smith, and Edward Smith; sister, Sara Walker. Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Reg) Thompson of Clarksville, TN, James Suttles, Anthony Smith both of Chattanooga, Leola Jackson of Gainesville, FL, and Eddie (Anita) Jackson, Jr. of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie B. (Mary) Smith of Lexington, GA, Jerry (Sally) Smith, Casey Smith both of Chattanooga, Clifford Smith of California, Jeffery Smith of Chattanooga, and Daniel Smith of Kentucky; sisters, Veronica Powell of Boston, MA, Alice Houston, Tammy Smith, and Geraldine (Joe) Postell, all of Chattanooga; devoted grandson, Eddie Jackson, III; special niece, Katrina “Ping” Dozier; sister-in-law, Sarah Fletcher; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
