Dexter Phillips' Obituary
Dexter “Chip” Phillips, 56, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in an Atlanta, Georgia hospital. He attended Kirkman High School and was a 1983 graduate of Howard High School. He was employed by LKQ Corporation as an Operator. “Chip” was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Phillips; father, Maxie Benton; and brother, William “Bill Jr.” Gholston. Survivors include his daughter, Shenika Phillips (Rodney) Smith of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren; brothers, Eric (Barbara) Phillips and Kenneth (Jackie) Phillips, both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; special friend, Charlie Griffin; best friend, Sylvester Freeman and other friends. Vincent Dixson will serve as the eulogist.
