Destiny Carrell Garner Goines' Obituary
Destiny Carrell Garner Goines, 44, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a 1997 graduate of Hixson High School. She was a former employee with Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise. Destiny was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Mary Garner, Sr. and Wilbur Careathers; aunt, Brenda Garner; sister, Desiree Garner; and uncle, Roderick Careathers. Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Timothy Goines, Sr.; son, Timothy Goines, Jr.; daughters, Justice Fearn and Jira Ricks; grandchild, “Junie”, all of Chattanooga; father, Donnie Garner, Sr. (who joined her 8 days ago); mother, Carrell Careathers Garner; grandmother, Annie Careathers, both of Chattanooga; brothers, Donnie Garner, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Roderick (Bridgette) Lovelace of Chattanooga; uncles, Harold (Mary) Phillips of Atlanta, GA, Freddie (Annie) Garner, James (Deborah) Garner, Frank (Jennifer) Garner, all of Chattanooga, Cedric (Sutonya) Garner, Reginald (Geneva) Garner, Jeffrey Garner, and George (Mattie) Gross; aunts, Joyce McClain of Detroit, MI, Betty Garner Edwards of Eastpointe, MI, and Tonya Garner (Marcel) Williams of Charlotte, NC; sisters-in-law, Kia Edmondson (Marcus) Smith, Erykah Gross, Tamica (Marcus) Rodgers, and Trevette (Larry) Holbrooks, all of Nashville, TN; brothers-in-law, Marcel Williams of Charlotte, NC, Tyron (Tasha) Gross, Andre Gross, and Rico Gross, all of Nashville; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Willie Paul will be the eulogist.
