Derrick Lamont Ruffin, Jr., 20, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. He attended The Howard High School. Derrick was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vivian McKibbens; grandfather, Donnie Smith; and uncle, Ivan Hill; Survivors include his daughter, Dearra Marie Ruffin; father, Derrick Lamont Ruffin, Sr.; mother, Danyelle Nicole (Alphonso) James; grandmother, Teresa Cal; grandmother, Alexandria Bluing; grandfather, Freddy McKibbens; brothers, Dedrick Lamar Ruffin, Alphonso James, Jr., and A’Kingston Bonds; sisters, Deriquisha Ruffin, Iunique Ruffin, Shaderrika Ruffin, Delexius Ruffin, Shanice Cal, Deaisha Ruffin, Taniya Hilt, Alanna James, and Alex Taylor; girlfriend, Marquesha Lee; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, and other friends. Pastor Michael McMurray will be the eulogist.
