Dequan “QuePee” Scott, 27, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was a 2012 graduate of Brainerd High School. He was employed at Gestamp as a technician. Dequan was preceded in death by his father, Gary Scott, Sr. Survivors include his sons, Auki Scott and Messiah Scott; mother, Vanerrette Hayes; brothers, Terrance (Erica) Hayes, Gary Scott, Jr, and Quincy Scott; sister, Kari Crutcher, all of Chattanooga; uncles, John (Cheryl) DeBardeleben, Jr. of Chattanooga, Vodie (Donna) DeBardeleben, of St. Macro, TX, and Dillard DeBardeleben of Chattanooga; aunts, Jacqueline (James) Cooper and Brenda (Rudolph) Houston; nephews, Terrance Hayes, Jr., Terron Hayes, Sencere Hayes, and Terrance Ni’Gel Hayes; niece, Taraji Hayes, all of Chattanooga; best friend, Bibbs; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Letechia Ellis will serve as the eulogist.
