Deountay LiDarrious Brown, “Debo”, 24, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023. He was a graduate of Howard High School and was a member of New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God. He was formerly employed by Bojangles. Deountay was preceded in death by his father, Darrious Brown. Survivors include his son, D’Kyrion Brown; mother, Tia Thomas; grandparents, Tara (Zachary) Brantley and Judine Brown; brothers, Savelt Bonner, Tywon Thomas, and Quincy Brown; sisters, Tylia Bonner, Adoria Young, Chariona Robinson, Destini Collier, Heaven Robinson, Safari Mitchell, and Sunday McCullough; uncles, Terrance (Sylvia) Taylor, Ternae Hatten, Timothy Owens, Gerome Taylor, Tevan Jackson, and Lawrence Sutton; aunts, Tiffoni (Sherrod) Gary, Crystal Ellison, Stephanie Ellison, Katrina Brown, Saavardra (Eric) Ray, and Tiffany Jackson, all of Chattanooga; godparents, LaQuata Bass and LaKisha McKibben; mother of child, Demetriona Wade; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Deountay will lie-in-state on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ron B. Cook, Sr. officiating, Dr. Eric D. Sims assisting, and the grandmother, Mrs. Tara Brantley as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
