Dennis McWhorter's Obituary
Dennis McWhorter, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Hospice Care Center. He graduated from Howard High School, Class of 1984. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn McWhorter; father, Cornelius McWhorter, Sr.; brother, Cornelius McWhorter, Jr. Survivors include his daughter, RaKeishia Washington, of Dalton, GA; grandchild, NyLanii Washington; brother, Bobby McWhorter, of Chattanooga; sisters, Krystal McWhorter, Charlotte (Garrison) Martin, Cathy (Michael) Goldthreat, and Mary (Kenneth) Cameron, Sr., all of Chattanooga; uncles, Sam McWhorter, Sr., and Dargin McWhorter, Sr., of California; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Dennis will lie-in-state on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 12 noon in Highland Memorial Gardens with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. giving the words of comfort.
