Denise Upshaw's Obituary
Denise Leshelle Upshaw, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Howard High School. Denise was a member of Marble Top Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Marshall; grandmother, Georgia Yearby; nephews, Frederick Jordan Clark and Joshua Fleetwood; and grandfather, Jim Clark. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Columbus Upshaw, Sr.; sons, Columbus and Cavonta; daughters, Ashlie, Markeyea, Marquita, Courtney, Kaleyah, and Mia; 17 grandchildren; father, Dennis Marshall; grandparents, Anna Ellis; brothers, Fredrick (Yalanda) Clark, Derrick (Ladawn) Yearby, and Denzel Marshall; sisters, Cherikha Marshall and Countess Marshall; sisters-in-law, Mary Chaney, Janice Johnson, Penny Strickland, Channel (David, Sr.) Alexander; brothers-in-law, Roger Upshaw and Ray Gene Upshaw; a host if aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Minister King Mason will serve as the eulogist.
