Delois Stafford Ransom's Obituary
Delois Stafford Ransom, 64, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her residence in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born September 19, 1960, in Kingsport, Tennessee. Delois relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee at an early age, where she was a 1979 graduate of Brainerd High School. She attended Second Missionary Baptist Church. Delois loved reading and enjoyed listening to gospel and old school R&B. She also enjoyed solving word puzzles, watching scary movies, and playing video games. She was formerly employed by Kindred Hospital and took pride in her work as a private duty sitter for many years. Among those who preceded Delois in death include her parents, Mack Alvin Stafford and Janie Hairston McClintock; brothers, Kenny Hairston, Ricky Hairston, and Calvin W. Stafford; and husband, Darrell Ransom. Delois will forever be loved, remembered, and missed by her family and friends. Cherishing her memories include her son, LaDarrell M. Ransom of Chattanooga; daughter, Whittney D. Ransom of Nashville; brother, Alvin G. Stafford of Chattanooga; sister, Maccine Brown (Kevin) of Chattanooga; aunt, Gwendolyn Winn of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
