Debra Ann Wills' Obituary
Debra, 64, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at a local hospital. She was a proud mother of three daughters and a beloved grandmother, to six beautiful granddaughters. Debra poured her heart into her family and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She graduated from Chattanooga State Community College. Debra built a strong and inspiring career, retiring from the Chattanooga Housing Authority, where she worked as a heavy machine operator—a role she took on with strength, pride, and dedication. Debra was small in stature but mighty in spirit. Known for her infectious energy and boundless warmth, she made friends wherever she went. She never met a stranger, always sharing a smile, a kind word, or a laugh. She lived a life full of love, courage, and resilience. Despite life’s many challenges, Debra embraced her journey fully. When recently asked if she would have changed anything about her past, her answer was simple and profound: “Nope.” She loved her life—every moment of it—and especially the people in it: her family, her friends, and her community. This is a celebration of Debra’s life—a life lived fully, bravely, and with love. She will be deeply and truly missed, but her legacy of strength, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memorial service will be on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
