Debra Ann Cheatom's Obituary
Debra Ann Cheatom, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Erlanger Hospital. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and Sinclair College in Dayton, OH. She confessed her faith in Christ at Stephens’ Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America. Debra was a loving, devoted, remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and mentor to all she met. She was dearly loved and will be terribly missed by so many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny William Cheatom; granddaughter, Layla Simms; parents, Wille Finley and Thelma Collins; sisters, Oneithia Springer and Marcia Finley. Survivors include her daughters, Latricia Finley, Johnneta Cheatom, Anjohnacia Cheatom, all of Chattanooga, Valerie Cheatom Ware of Huntsville, AL, and Gwendolyn Jones of Decatur AL; son, Javonnie (Quantina) Simms of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Pastor Earnest Jefferson will serve as the eulogist.
