Debra D. Allen's Obituary
Debra Denise Allen was born on August 16, 1963 to the late Dorothy Lee Allen in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended Riverside High School and was a member of the class of 1982. Debra was member of the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church. She was employed at Erlanger Medical Center for 10 years. Debra was preceded in death by her daughter, Doretha Allen; mother, Dorothy Lee Allen; sisters, Shirley Allen and Audrey Evans; brother, Melvin Evans. Debra was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She has a smile that would light up a whole room. She truly enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Debra finished this earthly journey on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Debra leaves to cherish her memories is her son, Julius Allen, Sr., daughters, Lekeya Allen and Latoya Allen; all of Chattanooga; sisters, Gwendolyn Love and Diane Evans all of Chattanooga; brothers, Jerome Allen of Chattanooga and Robert Allen of Detroit, MI; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces; a nephew; 3 great nephews; special sister-in-law, Alice Toney; special friend of 7 years, Christine Kellogg and a host of other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 12:30 – 5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 12 noon at Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church with Pastor James Foster as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
