DeAsia LeShay Woodruff-Tyson, 17, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was a senior at East Ridge High School where she was in the Spanish Club. DeAsia was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Darrell Tyson, Sr.; great-grandmother, Virginia Woodruff; great-grandfather, George E. Woodruff Sr. Survivors include her father, Darrell Tyson, Jr; mother, Meredith Coyell Woodruff; grandparents, Meredith Coy Woodruff, Sr., Lorrie Flemming, Valerie Woodruff, Bernice Johnson, and Freida Johnson; brothers, Zaiden Woodruff; sisters, Destiny Tyson, Niyonna Tyson, and Shaniyah Tyson; uncles, Yuseff Woodruff, Meredith Coy Woodruff, Jr., Darnell (Sidonie) Tyson, and Clarence (Sharon) Johnson, Quincy Woodruff, David Woodruff, and Jarrett Woodruff; aunts, Chelsea Woodruff, Elaine Tyson, Lacoyah Smith, Shereece Weiters, and Coryn Atkinson; a host of other relatives and friends. George E. Woodruff, Jr. will be the eulogist.
