David Lee Kennebrew's Obituary
David Lee Kennebrew, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, August 19, 1944, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, father-in-law, and grandfather. David was a self-employed contractor. His previous employment includes Fort Leonard Wood Hospital, C&W Services of Chattanooga, Pilgrim’s Pride, and Erlanger Hospital. He enjoyed watching sports. He had an immense passion for fast cars and trucks. David was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Mae Downer; sisters, Mary A. Howard and Julia M. Erskine; aunts, Alberta Nowell and Pauline Ford; uncles, Willie and Joe W. Moore; son-in-law, Roulos Davis; granddaughter, Rolisha Davis; and great-grandson, Amir T. Davis. He leaves to mourn his passing a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss him dearly. This legacy includes daughters, Dailphia L. Davis, Cassandra Mayweather, Bridgette Green, Trina G. Heathington, Chandra D. Flanigan, Tara Y. Brown, Tammy Culpepper, Shawnette R. Johnson, Erica Brown, Erica Kennebrew, and Destiny S. Kennebrew; sons, David L. Heathington and Demetrick Kennebrew; aunt, Laura Richardson; special cousin, Charles E. (Dorothy) Moore; nephew, Roy Howard of London, KY; niece, Anna Howard of Jacksonville, FL; and the Heathington Family; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and several friends. Pastor Floyd Davis will serve as the eulogist.
