David Lee Flannigan Sr.'s Obituary
David Lee Flannigan, Sr., 55, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, in an Atlanta, Georgia hospital. He was a 1985 graduate of City High School. David received his Associate Degree in Applied Science from DeKalb Technical College and his Bachelor Degree from DeVry University. David was a veteran of the United States Army and Marine Corp. David attended Green Forest Community Baptist Church. He was a member of Brain Tumor Survivors and Meningioma Mamas and Popp’s. He was formerly employed by Optum Insight. David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Flannigan; mother, Everdean Bradley; paternal grandparents, James M. and Sallie C. Bynes; maternal grandparents, Essie and Leroy Bradley; and brother, Richard Flannigan. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lillian Janet P. Flannigan; son, David Lee Flannigan, Jr. of Fort Polk, LA; daughters, Terechell L.J. Hawthorne of Snellville, GA and Tatiana S. Lowe of Loganville, GA; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Thomas of Chattanooga and Robin (Eduardo) Camacho of Arlington, TX; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. David will lie-in-state on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Alonzo Noble as the eulogist.
