David DeWayne Cross' Obituary
David DeWayne Cross, formerly of Chattanooga, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was a graduate of Tyner High School. David accepted Christ at a young age and joined Westside Baptist Church where he was baptized. David was an avid animal lover and loved the game of football. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Homer Cross, Sr. and Herman Powell; great-grandparents, Charles and Beatrice Johnson. Those left to cherish his precious memories are his only child, Keosha J. Cross; his beloved mother, Leisa J. (Milton) Passmore; his father, Gregory Powell of Atlanta, GA; his grandmothers, Anne Cross and Merci Powell of Waynesboro, VA; a host of siblings; aunts; uncles; several cousins, special cousin, James “Tony” Cross; and best friend, “Bam”. The public may pay their respects to the family on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
