Darrius Ternae Palmer Sr.'s Obituary
Darrius Ternae Palmer, Sr., 42, formerly of Chattanooga, left earth to go to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was born July 31, 1982, to an excited mother, Shirley Moorer-Simmons (Palmer) and an elated father, Ambrose D. Palmer. He was lovingly called “Spank” by his family. He was a very cheerful and loving child, that was absolutely adored. His journey was preceded by his grandparents, Eugene “Joe” Moorer and Smiley Mae Moorer; aunt, Joann Moorer; uncles, Willie James, Jeffery, and Ronnie Moorer. Darrius loved the Lord and his family and always embraced being an older cousin. He was always friendly to his neighbors and would never hesitate to stop and have conversations with them. No matter what he may or may not have been going through he always knew he was special and expected to be acknowledged. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Darrius T. Palmer, Jr.; his mother, Shirley (Stephen) Simmons; father, Ambrose D. Palmer; brother, Darrun (Arelya Williams) Palmer; nephew, Kyser Palmer; his aunts, Wanda (Hugh) Abner and Debra (Rick) Spivey; uncle, Gregory Moorer; and a host of cousins/siblings. Darrius will lie-in-state on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Pastor David Meredith as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
