Danny Clark Ringer's Obituary
Danny Clark Ringer, 78, of Chattanooga, peacefully departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2026, in a local hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. He born on January 2, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Danny graduated from Howard High School Class of 1966. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent much of his career employed with Siskin Steel, where he was respected for his commitment and strong work ethic. He was known not only for his diligence but also for his hilarious sense of humor, often bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Above all, Danny was a great father, husband, brother and friend who deeply loved his family and took pride in the life he built with them.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Harvey Ringer; his first wife, Rosena Ringer; his second wife, Annie Lois Ringer; his brother, Norris Ringer; his sister, Annette Lusk; his son, Danny Clark “Bomp” Ringer Jr.; his beloved daughter, Jeanina V. “GiGi” Ringer; and his grandson, Dominque L. Bonds.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Demetrus L. Ringer; his siblings, Jerral “Boone” Ringer, Kerry Ringer, Cobie (Johnny) Patmon, and Paulette Ringer; stepchildren, Vincent (Sheila) Washington, Glenis (Warner) Jackson, and Janaye (Thomas) Kirby; his grandchildren, Jamaal Strickland and ShaRhonda Bonds; 13 step-grandchildren; along with 14 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two special nephews, Anthony Ringer and Jarmal Ringer (who never left his side) and a host of nieces, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family would like to extend special recognition and heartfelt gratitude to his devoted caregivers, Kim Terrell and Liz Allen. Their around-the-clock care, compassion, and dedication brought comfort and dignity to Danny in his final days.
Danny will lie-in-state on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Todd Lansden as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
