Danny Gordon's Obituary
Danny Ray Gordon, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in a local hospital. He attended Riverside High School. He was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Danny retired from the City of Chattanooga as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Gordon; mother, Hazel Addison; grandmother, Louise Farris; brother, Donald Visher; sister, Barbara Bonds; mother-in-law, Bessie Mae Redmon; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Redmond and Calvin Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shirley Gordon; son, Eric Dewayne (Tara) Gordon, Sr. of Harrison, TN; daughter, CaNesha Katrice Gordon of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Eric (Amber) Gordon, Jr. of La Vergne, TN and Crei Gordon of Harrison; two great-grandchildren, Max Gordon and Aden Gordon, both of La Vergne; brothers, Michael Gordon of Inglewood, CA, Fred (Ann) Gordon of Chattanooga, and Waytha Gordon of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Gwen Rivers of Eastvale, CA, Evangelist Patricia Terry, and Katrina Gordon, both of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Otis Redmond, Sylvester (Minnie) Redmond, Hilton Johnson, Bobby (Betty) Johnson, and Kenneth Johnson; sisters-in-law, Joann Kelly, Regina Byrd, Robin Byrd, and Mamie Redmond; brother/nephew, Melvin Bonds; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Anthony Williams will serve as the eulogist.
