Daisy M. Dozier's Obituary
Daisy M. Hollis Dozier, 91, of Chattanooga, completed her life journey Monday, February 13, 2023, at her home peacefully. She was born on December 8, 1931 to James and Margaret Hollis. She was married to the late John Dozier. Daisy was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools. She retired from Rossville Yarn Company. Daisy was a strong, loving, and dedicated woman to God and her family. She enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church for many years before uniting with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Hollis; husband, John Dozier; sisters, Annie L. Brooks and Elizabeth Ross; brother, James Hollis, Jr.; son, Gregory L. Hollis; sons-in-law, George A. Evans and Calvin McNeal; daughters-in-law, Barbara J. Watkins. Survivors include her daughters, Veronica McNeal, Linda Evans, and Katrina (Robert) Wilson, all of Chattanooga; son, Michael (Veronica) Watkins of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; great-great children; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Todd Lansden, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
