Curtis “Cee Jay” Jerome Fountain, Jr., 38, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the Hospice Care Center. He attended Howard High School of Academics & Technology and received his GED. Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Fountain, Leslie and Dorothy Fountain, Joe L. Hammonds, Sr.; and uncle, Leslie Fountain, Jr. Survivors include his devoted life partner, Ceion Berry; daughters, Jayvia Loretta Berry, Jaionna Javenia Berry, and Jayney Mo’nae Crystal Berry, all of Chattanooga; father, Curtis Jerome Fountain, Sr. of Chattanooga; mother, Brenda (Harold Roberts) Fountain of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandmother, Birdie B. Burton of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Lavenia (Anwar) Cameron of Tuscaloosa and LaToyia Owten-Shropshire of Chattanooga; uncles, Joe L. Hammonds, Jr. and Albert Hammonds, both of Chattanooga; aunts, Debra Hammonds-Talley of Tuscaloosa, Caroline Vaught and Bridgett Hammonds Barber, both of Chattanooga; niece, Armiya Thomas; nephew, LaDarius (Courtney) Thomas, both of Chattanooga; a host of loving cousins and friends. Pastor Alfred Hawkins will serve as the eulogist.
